Designer Dog Beds
By Conny

Hi, My name is Conny

I am an artist that gets bored easily and I like making all kinds of things from pottery to woodworking to crochet. I would like my work to have a home because there is only so much I can keep myself.

I am posting a few things I have made. If you are interested in purchasing something please

Many times the dog’s bed or crate sits in the middle of your room looking messy. When guests come over to visit they should see a room with beautiful furniture, not a dog crate or one of those cushions from a pet store. My Designer dog beds are hidden in your living room or bedroom furniture. All they will see is beautiful custom furniture and you’ll save space. These designer dog beds shown here are constructed from tables found at antique stores and estate sales. The fabrics are sometimes vintage, or unusual pillows, or whatever I find to make them original and interesting. This gives the furniture a new purpose and helps keep the earth healthy.

The Queen Bed

This bed will hold a dog 20 lbs or less. The cushions here are sewn from new upholstery fabrics. I do have a hand-sewn trim and it may hold up better if you hand wash this beds’ cushion. The small heavy pillow is filled with flax seed and spices. That pillow can be put into the microwave for a couple minutes; it will stay warm for a long while. Your babies will be spoiled with this warm addition to his or her bed. The flaxseed pillow will also have a fresh scent of cinnamon and cloves and give you the sweet aroma that you dream your puppies will smell like all of the time. Flax seed is all natural, non-toxic, and safe for animals, but I would recommend not having them on top of the main cushions if you have chewers.

The Window Bed

This dog bed is made from an old window from an architectural salvage store. The cushions are vintage fabrics in perfect condition. They are washable and the cluster stuffing in the cushion will get softer the more you wash it. I also have a flax seed pillow included with this bed. It is larger than the Queeny Bed. It can hold a dog up to 25 lbs.

The Pink Bed

Ok This bed is just a bed, but what a bed it is! The color doesn’t show as beautiful as it is in real life. I found a pillow at Pier One that has pink, brown and a very very soft beige/yellow. I took it apart and added a pretty soft pink on the sides. The cushion bottom is brown and there is a matching smaller pillow included. The smallest pillow on top is filled with the spices and flax seed. Yummy it smells so good. The wood is painted a creamy color and has a distressed finish. It sets off the floor about 2 inches. I think a small lab would fit on this bed comfortably. My dogs love hanging their feet and head off the sides of their beds. This bed is so beautiful that it would add to any décor and you would be proud to have it in the middle of your room.

Oak & Pink Dog Bed

My newest pink bed is gorgeous!! It has beads and bows and a beautiful oak tabletop and headboard. I keep forgetting to take pictures of the tables before I re-purpose them. This was a big transformation from the original table. The cushion can be flipped so one side has long pink fur and the other side has a beautiful vintage flowery fabric. I also made three pillows, one has flaxseed to make the princess who gets this bed warm and comfortable and smelling like cinnimmon and cloves. I have beautiful beads covering any screw holes. I think whoever gets this bed will really enjoy it, and the dog will love it also. It will be a great addition in your home.

The headboard is a beautiful Red to match the red in the fabric pillows,. Black fur and zebra stripes are used for the washable cushion, which can be turned over to show the fur or the zebra stripes. A beautiful detail on the top of the table gives it a special umph. It is a dimensional leaf pattern. The 3rd photo shows that to you. I consider this a very sexy bed but can be used for a boy or girl dog.

I can take furniture found in consignment shops, by you or me, and make them blend into your home in a natural and beautiful way or a piece of furniture you already own and customize it for you. These designer beds can be designed and customized for you using left over fabrics from your own room makeover. For example, a tall 5-drawer chest, remove the 2 bottom drawers and transform that area into a dog bed or crate. I can use a curtain panel that you have from your room as the cushions. You would still have the use of the top drawers and the dog bed is safely tucked out of the way and it would be original and beautiful. I can add doors but you may find it will be too beautiful to hide. The bottom of your own entertainment center is a great opportunity to add a bed as long as it has a bottom storage section that your pet would fit in. I could re purpose the door to make them airy and safe if you want to make it closeable. The opportunity for storage of all your pet’s accessories could be there also.

Thanks for looking.
